# Verification and validation: how we check every delivery

# Verification and validation: how we check every delivery

Lincoln Alves · 2026-09-16

Done is defined at the start. At the end, we check against it, item by item.

A delivery is done when it matches what we agreed, not when the team stops working on it. So we write down what done means before the first line of code.

### At the start

Scope, metrics and acceptance criteria go into one document the client signs off. Every item has a way to be checked: a test, a number, a screen.

### At the end

- Automated tests and accessibility scans on every change.
- A review of the delivery against the document, item by item.
- A short report of what passed, what changed and why.

> If it cannot be checked, it is not a requirement yet.
